Frequently Asked Questions About Zambroza

Why was Zambroza developed?

This was specifically formulated as a highly nutritional drink with many strong antioxidants. Antioxidants scavenge the free radicals that occur in the body due to normal metabolism, and also from exposure to toxins such as pollution, tobacco smoke, ultraviolet light and radiation. If left unchecked, free radicals can cause cell damage. Antioxidants benefit virtually every organ and body system because they mop up damaging free radicals. Zambroza delivers the most potent antioxidant protection of any product of its type on the market.

What does ORAC mean?

ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. ORAC is a measure of a product’s antioxidant strength (its ability to neutralise free radicals).

What is the actual ORAC value of the Zambroza product?

NSP has chosen not to release specific ORAC values for this product. Comparing ORAC values that have been obtained in different laboratories does not give a valid comparison. ORAC values can change based on how the product was analysed as well as the reference standard used. When one laboratory conducts ORAC testing using the same parameters, the results can produce a valid comparison. Independent laboratory testing done on Zambroza and several of its competitors shows that Zambroza has more than two times the ORAC value of its nearest competitor.

Does Zambroza contain Xanthones?

Yes, Zambroza does contain xanthones from Garcinia mangostana (mangosteein), unlike some juices such as Himalayan Goji that does NOT contain Xanthones.

What are Xanthones and why are they beneficial?

Xanthones are a group of active compounds found in the mangosteen and are found in all parts of the fruit. Zambroza does contain xanthones. However, xanthones are not the only biologically active substances in the mangosteen or in Zambroza. Catechins, polyphenols, polysaccharides, vitamins, flavonoids and other antioxidants are all active substances in these fruits. NSP has compared Zambroza’s antioxidant, polyphenol and immune activity to our competitor’s product. Zambroza surpassed the competitor’s product each time, and in fact shows more than three times the immune-stimulating power of its nearest competitor.

What is Mangosteen and why is it important?

Garcinia mangostana or mangosteen is a fruit found in eastern tropical countries such as Thailand. The Thai people refer to mangosteen as the “queen of fruits”. The fruit has a delicious sweetness with a slight amount of sourness. The dried fruit has been shipped and used medicinally for many years in China, India and Singapore. Mangosteen contains xanthones and powerful antioxidants.

Does Zambroza contain both the fruit and pericarp (rind) of the Mangosteen?

Yes, Zambroza contains all parts of the Mangosteen fruit, including the pericarp.

Does the Zambroza formula have decaffeinated green tea?

The green tea in Zambroza is decaffeinated.

Can you send me a nutritional profile or vitamin breakdown for the Zambroza product?

While the fruits in Zambroza are known to contain Vitamins A, C and E along with bioflavonoids, carotenoids, polyphenols and other healthful compounds, we do not have a specific breakdown of the amount of vitamins per serving. Variations occur based on where the fruit grows, harvest time and other factors.

Can Zambroza be taken while pregnant or nursing?
